Student Devices
Sallisaw Public Schools uses the latest technology to enhance student learning, student engagement, and student achievement. The student device learning program provides students in grades 6-12 with a personal Chromebook device to explore and utilize educational resources both inside and outside the classroom – from accessing class content and textbooks online to communicating and collaborating with classmates and teachers. Our elementary students also have a personal device, which will remain at school unless we have periods of virtual/distance learning. Our Pre-K students will have access to iPads. With a device, students have the best teacher-facilitated instruction combined with the best technology at their fingertips.
Device Protection Plans are available for Chromebooks for students grades 6-12. The protection plan is voluntary, but families are highly encouraged to participate. If protection plans are not purchased at the time of device acceptance, parents/guardians are responsible for the full cost of any repair/replacement of all damage to/loss of the Chromebook. Only damaged charge cords will be covered by insurance (not lost or stolen).
